FAQs

How often will I need to come to therapy?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency. As progress is made, we may shift to every other week. Frequency is flexible and tailored to your needs — we’ll decide together what works best for your goals and lifestyle.

How long will therapy take?

Healing looks different for everyone. Some clients notice positive changes in just a few months, while others prefer longer-term support. The duration depends on your goals, history, and how deeply you’d like to work.

What are your rates for therapy sessions?

My standard rate is $150 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of session and can be made by credit card or HSA/FSA cards through my secure online platform.

What can I expect in my first session?

Your first session (intake) is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about your background, current struggles, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. You don’t need to prepare anything — just come as you are. My role is to create a safe, shame-free space where we can begin building trust.

What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work?

You’re not alone. Many of my clients come to me after unhelpful or invalidating therapy experiences. My approach is neurodivergence-affirming, trauma-informed, and person-centered — which means I adapt therapy to your needs instead of expecting you to adapt to therapy.

Do you specialize in certain areas?

Yes. I specialize in working with young millennials and Gen Z adults who are navigating:

  • Neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, or both)

  • Complex trauma (CPTSD)

  • Relationship struggles, boundaries, and people-pleasing

  • EMDR therapy for trauma healing

Do you take insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. However, I can provide you with a “superbill” (receipt for services) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Coverage depends on your plan, so I encourage you to call your provider to ask about out-of-network mental health benefits.

Do you offer virtual therapy?

Yes! All sessions are conducted virtually, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort of your home or office. Virtual therapy is secure, HIPAA-compliant, and available anywhere in Florida.

How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?

Therapy is most effective when you feel safe and understood. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute consultation call — it’s a chance to ask questions, share your goals, and get a feel for my style. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll move forward with scheduling your intake.

What if I get nervous about starting therapy?

That’s completely normal. Starting therapy is a big step. My role is to create a space where you can feel safe, supported, and free to be your authentic self. There’s no pressure to be perfect or know exactly what to say — we’ll figure it out together.
